Spicy Tofu Tikka is a flavorful and protein-packed dish perfect for vegetarians and vegans alike. Marinated in a blend of aromatic spices and grilled to perfection, it's an easy and delicious way to enjoy tofu.
Ingredients:
- 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 1/2 cup yogurt vegan yogurt for plant-based option
- 2 tablespoons tikka masala paste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil for grilling
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix yogurt, tikka masala paste, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and salt
Add cubed tofu to the marinade and coat evenly
Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight
Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat
Brush the grill with oil to prevent sticking
Thread tofu cubes onto skewers, or place directly on the grill
Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until lightly charred and heated through
